FISU President has Informal Talk with Chinese Press

14 February 2009

Today, February 14th, FISU President George Killian had an informal talk with the Chinese Press while being at the Winter Universiade Sport and Science Conference where he gave the opening address.

The Universiade is a great opportunity for the student-athletes from around the world not only to learn about the Chinese culture but also from other cultures who are here at these Games. ‘The youth who competes here in friendship will be the leaders of tomorrow’, Mr. Killian told the reporters. ‘They learn an important lesson of mutual respect. They will remember this experience for the rest of their lives.’

Mr. Killian will give his traditional pre-Games press conference on Thursday February 17th, 2009 at 16h00 in the MPC (4th floor).
