Women’s Individual
After today’s free skate competition the three medalists in the women’s competition are known. The Japanese skaters dominate the medal podium as Yukari Nakano and Nana Takeda win the gold and silver respectively while Kiira Korpi from Finland captured the bronze.

Synchronized Skating – Free Program
Today, the teams for synchronized skating had their second and last day of competition. After finishing the short program yesterday, all teams skated their free program. Favorite Team Sweden lived up to the expectations and won the gold. Archrival Finland had to settle for the silver, while the bronze went to Russia. Team USA and Team Switzerland ended fourth and fifth respectively.

These events end the figure skating competition at the 24th Winter Universiade. Tomorrow, February 25th, the traditional Gala Exhibition will be held with all medalists of the competition performing, as well as some local skaters.
