The 12th World University Futsal Championship will take place in Novisad, Serbia. The Serbian University Sports Federation is a very active FISU member and WUC host, i.e. judo (Novisad 2002), Karate (Belgrade 2004), Flatwater (Belgrade 2008), Rowing (Belgrade 2008), Taekwondo (Belgrade 2008) and of course the 25th Summer Universiade (Belgrade 2009), with some of the volleyball competitions staged in Novisad. In 2010 a FISU WUC will return to Novisad in the same sports complex where judo was held in 2002.
Accommodation
All the participants will be accommodated in the student dormitory with a 350 beds capacity. All rooms have 2 beds but they can also be used as single bedrooms. The rooms are equipped with bathroom, hallway and balcony. This means that all the teams will have the same conditions of accommodation. Rooms will be cleaned daily and there are laundry facilities inside the dormitory that will be available to all teams. VIPs will be accommodated in a separate hotel.
There will be a 24h free Internet and TV service for all participants. The OC will daily publish news bulletins with up-to-date information, and the OC will post information points inside the dormitory, the sport centre and the restaurant. A modern press centre, located in the dormitory, will be available for all participants.
Transport
Depending on their transport method, all the teams will be greeted (Belgrade Airport, train station, city entrance) and accompanied to their accommodation location. Immediately after arrival all the participants will be accredited.
Competition Venue
Competition will take place at the Sports and Business Centre Vojvodina. It has 2 sport halls, an indoor swimming pool, a bowling alley and an ice hockey rink. Games will be played in the sport hall which has a 1,000 seating capacity. Playing surface is inlaid floor (parquet). There are 14 modern changing rooms available. Each changing room has its own shower room. SBC Vojvodina, restaurant and dormitory are in close proximity to each other and they can all be easily reached by foot. Two separate sports halls will be available for training, and they are equipped with the same playing surface as the main hall.
