With only just 8 months left before the start of the competition, the Organizing Committee is able to confirm the presence of the first 4 Teams of a total of 32 (24 men’s and eight women’s) expected to take part in the 4th World University Rugby Sevens Championship 2010.
Moreover, the key goal of the Organizing Committee is to bring to Portugal the best University Rugby Sevens teams for the World Championship 2010, which is being hosted by the University of Porto, and will take place from 21 to 24July next year, at Bessa Stadium.
Head Coach of Portuguese Team Confirmed
Tomás Morais, the Head Coach of the Portuguese Rugby National Team is going to be also the Head Coach of the Portuguese University Team. The Organizing Committee of the event has also confirmed that the Portuguese Rugby Federation will totally commit to defining an adequate training plan for the World University Championship, hoping that the performance of Portuguese teams is strong and very competitive.
