2011 SU Update: CTI Inspection Visit in Shenzhen – More Visits

On October 20th, 2009, FISU EC member and CTI Chair Mr. Stavros Douvis visited the training and competition venues for Basketball and Football and all CT Chair of the individual sports visited the venues proposed by the Organizing Committee.

In the afternoon the CTI Chair and CT Chairs of Athletics Mr. Ilkka, Vice – Chair Mr. Luft; Diving, Mr. Leas; Table Tennis, Mr. Hrehorowicz and Judo, Mr. Tabakov met with the OC representatives. They informed the OC what the requirements for the venues are and they presented a summary report of their venues inspection. All CT Chairs stressed that the OC must appoint the competition directors and venue managers as soon as possible.

The OC appreciated this suggestion and in the near future will fulfill all requests of CT Chairs and ensure that all venues will meet the FISU and ISF requirements and standards.

Director of the Summer Universiade Marc Vandenplas met with the different functional area departments (security, transport) and was assured that the security and transport will work according the requirements for this international multi-sport event.
