The OC of the 2010 World University Floorball Championship announced the final list of teams participating in the FISU event. Ten nations will send their best floorball players to the championship, with an estimated 400 participants among 6 women’s teams and 8 men’s teams.
“Floorball has a strong standing in Umeå and we’re often referred to as the capital of floorball in Sweden. Therefore, the championship is perfectly suited here,” says Dan-Åke Lindquist, project manager at the IKSU Sport Centre, where the matches will be played.
“This is going to be tremendous fun. We will do everything necessary for both the players and spectators to showcase an exciting and entertaining tournament,” says Dan-Åke Lindquist.
The 4th World University Floorball Championship (WUFC) is arranged by IKSU (Umeå Students’ Sports Club) in partnership with the Swedish University Sports Federation, Umeå University, Umeå Municipality, Västerbotten County Floorball Federation and the Swedish Floorball Federation.
