The 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada are in full swing. A number of the Women’s Ice Hockey teams participating in the Olympic tournament have selected players who were on the Winter Universiade roster at the inaugural WU women’s ice hockey tournament in Harbin, China in 2009.
Leading nation is China, which has 15 Harbin WU participants out of the 21 players on its current Vancouver roster. Next is Team Slovakia with 12 former WU participants followed by Finland with four. – C. Pierre, FISU Press Officer
