During the last day at the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games, another former Universiade athlete won a gold medal.
Katrin Mattscherodt, a 29 year old economics student from the FHTW Berlin, won the gold medal with the German women’s speed skating team.
Katrin took part in the speed skating competition 3,000m and 5,000m at the 2009 Winter Universiade in Harbin, China where she reached the 6th place (3,000m) and 5th place (5,000m) respectively.
