WROCLAW – The second day of competition showed a high and intense level of concentration among the athletes. Three finals took place yesterday September 16th, which were undecided until the last shot. The competitions took the audience on their toes. The level of competition is equivalent to the level of a European Championship or even an ISSF World Championship. Many participating athletes are qualified for the 2012 Olympics in London.
The day also allowed the CISCA members to meet their counterparts at the Polish OC. Mr. Marian Dymalski, FISU EC member and OC Chair, Mr. Adam Roczek, Vice-Chair and Andrzej Hrehorowicz, CTI Chair for Table Tennis showed Mr Sinisa Jasnic, Dr. Tapio Kallio, Mr. Ceslovas Garbaliauskas and Mrs. Ertlova Ivana the facilities of AZS Wroclaw. The CISCA members were impressed by the quality and variety of facilities that AZS makes available to its athletes.
A second meeting of the CISCA was held at the request of its Chairman Mr. Sinisa Jasnic. This meeting took place at a breakfast meeting where an interim assessment was made. Each member of the CISCA gave a brief report on the situation in the WUC. Mr. Marian Dymaski and Adam Roczek took stock of the situation in the championship point of view of the Organizing Committee and all parties were very much satisfied. Some recommendations and adaptation of the FISU regulations will be made at the end of the Championship at the initiative of the OC and the FISU technical delegate. These changes will be at intake for all interveners in the championship.
The FISU delegates also formally met with the representatives of the ISSF to confirm the excellent relations that exist between both federations.
