2011 WU Update: Erzurum Women’s Ice Hockey Cup

ERZURUM – With the 25th Winter Universiade a few weeks away, the city of Erzurum already buzzes with the ongoing test events. On January 3rd, a Women’s Ice Hockey Tournament faced-off with Turkey, Bulgaria and Slovenia. The tournament will last until January 9th.

Host Turkey was defeated by the Slovenian team with 7-0 in the first game, but the Turkish women won the second game against Bulgaria 5-0.

The Women’s Ice Hockey Tournament at the WU will face-off teams from Canada, USA, Finland, Slovakia, United Kingdom and host Turkey.
