TAGAYTAY – On the eve of the Opening Ceremony of the 2016 FISU World University Cycling Championship to be held in Tagaytay, Philippines from March 16 to 20, the participating athletes took part in the first official training for the road race which will be held on Friday, 18 March. Delegations from sixteen countries and the five continents have been accredited for this event including Costa Rica, South Africa and Australia. The athletes will be competing both in road cycling and in mountain bike with eight races scheduled in total, four per gender. In addition to the road race, titles will be awarded in the road race criterium and in mountain bike (eliminator and cross-country) with all competitions taking place around the city of Tagaytay and the Canion Woods resort.
