A Rocky Road to the 11th WUC Equestrian for the Danish Team

1 July 2016

FLYINGE – Denmark is only a stone’s throw away from Sweden, just less than 5 km over the Öresund. But for the Danish team it was a long way to the WUC Equestrian in the neighboring country. Because the student riders in Denmark are not organized in any sports federation, no organization could support them. After a long time of uncertainty, Charlotte Kondrup, Katja Berg and Soes Rockhill Lysgaard decided to register for the WUEC by themselves – and carry all costs. “We did not expect to get an accreditation so fast – but the organizers of the WUEC were very helpful and we got the confirmation. Unfortunately we had no time to have a dressage test together” says Charlotte. But they are happy to be in Flyinge. “For us it’s great fun just to participate!”, adds Soes.

Denmark – we are happy that you are here!
