MONTPELLIER – From Wednesday, 6 July till Friday, 8 July the educational programme of the 2016 FISU Forum continued. Plenary sessions and workshops on the topics of Leadership, Volunteers, Gender Equality/Equal Opportunities or Access and Dual Career were held at Institut de Botanique and Saint Charles. Additionally participants were able to participate in Youth Leadership Seminars on “Management and communication in international teams” presented by EduC Member Renata Bojczuk and on “How to get better coverage in the media” by Eurosport’s Andreas Evagora.

Workshop

The cultural programme during the second half of the week included the Forum Fair at Veyrassi on Wednesday night, where delegations presented their countries’ culture in small booths and also introduced traditional dances to the participants. On Friday night during a night run delegation members were able to get to know Oldtown of Montpellier.

Forum Fair

On Thursday a visit to Euromov Research Centre, a platform dedicated to the study of human movement and a presentation of the International Handball Federation (IHF) by Executive Member and FISU Technical Delegate Handball Frantisek Taborsky were scheduled. Subsequently Taborsky also led a handball practice at Veyrassi for all participants. The rest of the day was spent at the beach including swimming and a beach volleyball tournament at La Grande Motte.

The 2016 FISU Forum will come to a close on Saturday with several concluding meetings and presentations before participants head to Montpellier Town Hall to learn about the upcoming FISU events and meet for the Closing Ceremony.
