13 different countries competed during three days at the Split 2024 FISU World University Championship Cheerleading.
The second ever FISU Championship Cheerleading, after Lodz (Poland) having hosted the inaugural event back in 2018 was a truly successful one. Split was the perfect host to an event filled with jumps, fun music, perfect timing ad a lot of energy and smiles. This is the first FISU event of the year to be organised in Croatia. The next one will be the , an exciting educational event that will take place from 27-30 August.
During three days, there were many splits in Split! The joke on words is much easier than the position itself, and the student-athletes from the 13 participating countries showed great skill and spirit throughout the competition.
FISU Executive Committee Member Marko Žunić, who is from Croatia admitted during the closing ceremony that “before, I didn’t know much about cheerleading, but now I understand the true essence of the word cheer in cheerleading!”
