The first Eurosport Mentorship before the Torino 2025 FISU World University Games Winter brings together French 2022 Olympic Games silver medallist Johan Clarey and Swiss Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games double gold medallist Amélie Klopfenstein.

She is Swiss, young, talented and full of dreams. He is French, experienced and full of good advice. What they have in common? Medals! But of course not only that. They also share a passion for alpine skiing, for sliding fast on the snow, for training hard and for a life made of travels around the world surrounded by like-minded, inspirational people.

You probably know Johan Clarey from France, silver medallist in Super-G at the World Championships in Åre (Sweden) in 2019 and downhill Vice-Olympic Champion in 2022 in Beijing (he was already 41 years old!).

…while Johan Clarey never took part to FISU World University Games but would have loved to.

And if you are a true alpine skiing fanatic, you might also know Amélie Klopfenstein, a 22-year-old Swiss student-athlete who already impressed everyone by taking two gold medals at the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games in her home country.

On top of being a great skiing talent – she now concentrates on slalom – Amélie has taken on a dual career, since she also studies economics online at UniDistance. She admits to really looking forward to competing on the Italian slopes during her first FISU World University Games Winter.
