Road to Torino 2025: Hjalmar Gädda and his mentor Magdalena Forsberg

Student-athlete Hjalmar Gädda practiced with fellow Swede and legend Magdalena Forsberg. Who could wish for a better preparation for the biathlon competition at the Torino 2025 FISU World University Games?
Sweden's Hjamlar Gädda is aiming at the best result possible on the Pragelato track in Piemonte.

The second Eurosport Mentoring before the Torino 2025 FISU World University Games Winter brings together to Swedish biathletes: superstar Magdalena Forsberg and young Hjamlar Gädda who studies social science and history at Mittuniversitetet and will compete in Pragelato during the Torino 2025 FISU World University Games.

On 14-15 December, the as they hosted the first step of the Fiocchi Italian Cup.

In less than a month, all the best student-biathletes will also compete in Pragelato. Amongst them, young Swede Hjamlar Gädda who was lucky enough to be mentored by the inspiring Magdalena Forsberg. Find out more about their encounter.

They share the same nationality and the same passion for biathlon. While she boasts an incredible amount of titles and medals, he still dreams of significant international podiums.

Hjamlar Gädda is 21 years-old and comes from Gothenburg. His biathlon club is OK Landehof and he lives in Östersund where he studies social science and history at Mittuniversitetet, making him a great example of embarking on a dual career.

6 time World Cup Winner, 6 time World Champion and double Olympic bronze medallist, Magdalena Forsberg is a biathlon superstar.

They met up in the middle of Sweden in the middle of November, ran together in the woods, shot together and then shared experiences, impressions and advice in the warmth of Magdalena’s own home, as the young student-athlete actively prepares for the .
