Czech Women dominate 16th FISU WUC Golf
The 16th FISU World University Golf Championship was hosted in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France from 22 to 26 June, 2016. Student-golfers representing 23 nations were present.
The French men’s team succeeded to keep the gold medal in the host country. The French student-golfers shared the medal podium with Team Ireland which got silver and Team Chinese Taipei winning the bronze.
In the women’s team competition, Team Czech won the gold leaving the silver to Team Chinese Taipei and the bronze to Team USA.
The girls of Team Czech also dominated the Individual Women’s competition as they took over the whole podium with Karolina Vlckova collecting the gold, Marie Lunackova the silver and Katerina Vlasinova the bronze.
In the Men’s Individual competition, Robin Dawson (IRL) mounted the highest podium winning the gold with Xuewem Luo (CHN) getting the silver and Yu-Chen Yeh (TPE) settling for the bronze.
