Ski Cross, Moguls, Dual Moguls, Slopestyle and Big Air are all events included in Freestyle and Freeski. Halfpipe and Aerials are optional events. It has recently gained more attention from the public and has experienced phenomenal growth in the international student sports community.

History of Freestyle & Freeski in FISU
This spectacular and exciting snow sport was partly organised for the first time in the history of the Winter Universiade during the 22nd edition in Innsbruck, Austria, where Ski Cross was a great success in both men’s and women’s categories. Freestyle & Freeski has been optional in the FISU World University Games since 2005 and became compulsory in 2021.
